Campbell Hatton admits 'it's never easy' as he prepares to mark a year since his dad Ricky's passing. Tributes poured in for 'The Hitman' after the former world champion boxer was found dead at his Hyde home on September 14 last year.

Fans lined the streets of Tamesside and Manchester to bid farewll to the boxing heor ahead of his funeral the following month. Campbell, 25, admits it is a 'tough week coming up' ahead of the anniversary of his dad's passing.

But he has taken comfort from the positive memories he has with his dad, as he navigates grief with his family. Campbell told BBC 5 Live Breakfast: "I think it's important to focus on the positive times, and there was a lot of them. We had a lot of great laughs.

"Obviously, everyone in any relationship, they'll have regrets and things they wish had happened differently. But I think, focus on the good times... there isn't really a cheat code to grief. It's never easy and it's never steady either, it's not something that's started tough and got gradually easier.

"Sometimes I'll be feeling good and then a couple of weeks later it'll dip a bit worse. There isn't really any advice I can give other than make sure you're looking after yourself while you're going through it."
